I was just talking on the phone with some guy, and he's one of those that closes conversations with, "mmmm, bye."
So he started going into the "mmmm" but I wasn't done with my pleasantries. So I threw in some things like "thanks very much" and "I'll wait for that email" and "take care," and all the while he just kept "mmmm"-ing.
So it was like "mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm-mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm-mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, bye."

And I noticed you started the second two paragraphs with the word so. Are you trying to be blase about it or whatever your other blog said about it? haha
dear julie, I wasn't writing about starting PARAGRAPHS with "so," I was writing about starting CONVERSATIONS or BLOG POSTS with "so."
"so" is a PERFECTLY acceptable mid-post transition.
but I will try to be more blase in the future, because that's a great word.
I know. I love that word for some reason. I'm going to look up the pronunciation so I can use it on a daily basis.
I guess "blase" is an acceptable variant, but you guys would be even more devoted fans of the word if you wrote it like this: "blasé"
My old roommate Stephanie Shaw used to do exactly that, but with "KBye."
So it went like this: "K K K K K K K K K K K K K K K K K K K K K K K K K K K K K K K K K K KBYE!"
